Airports handle more than 10 million passengers in first quarter

The 10 airports in Portugal managed by Vinci handled 10.4 million passengers in the first three months of the year, 12% more than in the same period in 2017, the company said.

The company said this reflected the good performance by the five main Airlines that operate in Portugal, all of which had double-digit growth rates.

Lisbon airport saw a 15.9% increase in passengers to 6 million, while Porto increased 12% to 2.38 million passengers.

In Faro, the bankruptcies if Monarch and Air Berlin in 2017 meant passenger numbers remained stable.
