The games are being played at the Algarve Stadium, Faro starting with Derby County and Setúbal on the Friday evening.
The Rams then meet Benfica on the Saturday evening with the final game between Benfica and Setúbal on the Sunday.
Derby are sure to have a large following of fans. Last season, with an average of nearly 30,000 passing through the turnstiles at every home game, Derby topped the Championship attendance league.
Favourites for promotion, they lost out to Hull City in the play-offs last season, and with new manager Nigel Pearson taking the reins in May, the squad will be keen to impress during their seven day pre-season training camp in the Algarve. ´
The last time the Rams locked horns with Benfica was in the European Cup in 1972-73 with Derby winning the home leg 3-0 and holding out for a 0-0 draw at the Stadium of Light in Lisbon. Derby finally lost 3-1 to Juventus in the semi-finals.
