An Algarve woman has become the world’s first female dive-fishing champion.

Teresa Duarte became the first champion in the women’s underwater fishing world cup championships held last weekend in Sagres. Second and third places were taken by Rosibel Perurena and Kelsey Albert, respectively, who both represented the United States in the south-western Algarve town.
