These figures were revealed by newspaper Jornal de Noticias, which also revealed so far this year 80 establishments have been closed down by ASAE.
Among the main reasons are a lack of hygiene and non-compliance with kitchen rules.
Over 2015 and 2016, ASAE inspected 20,700 establishments.
