After a very warm and summery couple of weeks – in fact the hottest September since records began – it seems as if Autumn is now elbowing its way in.

Lisbon: The capital will enjoy a rather warm end to the present week, and a pleasant Sunday, although temperatures are forecast to drop sharply from Saturday to Sunday, plunging from around 27 to 21 degrees Celsius, before picking up by a couple degrees for the rest of the coming week.
South: Thermometers will remain at close to 30 degrees on Saturday in Southern Portugal, before dropping a few degrees on Sunday to the mid-20’s. The coming week will stay sunny but there will be some scattered cloud around; maximum temperatures will peak at 26 degrees Celsius, and overnight lows will drop a few degrees too.

North: The north is starting to look a bit more autumnal than the rest of Portugal, with a sunny weekend forecast although temperatures will only reach the 20 degrees mark. The mercury will rise a degree or two for the coming week, but overnight lows will be noticeably cooler and light showers are forecast for the end of next week.
