The crowd gathered in front of one of the branches of the bank in Avenue Georges Mandel, before marching to the Portuguese embassy, where a delegation was received.
“We want our money”, was the main slogan, of the protest, the second in a month.
Manuel Reis Marujo, told Lusa News Agency he was waiting to recover €370,000 he invested in BES: “My situation is that I am in a lot of difficulties, they have been making promises since last August. My money is still blocked there.”
The protestors consider they were cheated when they opened the accounts, saying they were promised a deposit account, which was transformed into preference shares such as “Poupança Plus”, “Euro Aforro”, “Top Renda” and “EG Premium”.
