Cascais last hosted the event in 2014, and Erwes said there would be some changes next year with more meetings, a new type of exhibition and a round-up of deals that had been closed this year.
Portuguese sea minister, Ana Paula Vitorino, said the agreement aimed to highlight Portuguese companies under the scope of BIOMARINE, which is the biggest international network of partners in the maritime area, including research.
This year, the event is being held in Quebec, with the usual 300 participants, mostly CEOs, heads of state and investors.
