The Algarve Tourism Board will explain the 365 Algarve programme and its role within the expat community.
Portimão Tourism Board and the Monchique Municipality will have details of attractions in their respective areas that are known to be of interest to exhibition visitors.
The Civil Protection Agency will join with the Bombeiros to display the range of services and equipment they are able to so vitally deploy in the event of disaster relief situations.
For those with British connections, the UK’s HMRC will be available to answer concerns about UK taxation liabilities and issues.
Daniel Bryant of HMRC says: “For the second year running, HM Revenue & Customs will attend BLiP EXPO to answer questions visitors to the event may have relating to UK tax matters when living in or moving to Portugal”.
Their attendance, together with the Portuguese tax authorities (AT), is a direct result of the very positive feedback they got from being present last year.
A new exhibitor is Algarve Artists who will have original artwork on display and for sale.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists, watch demonstrations and perhaps you have a hidden talent, so join in, dab the palette and maybe create a masterpiece.
Also new is Algarve Rock Brewery – an ambitious British-owned craft brewery based in Faro. They will be giving tastings of their six varieties and you can get details of their fascinating brewery tours.
Continuing in the vein of the Algarve ‘palette/palate’, the award-winning Quinta dos Vales Wine Estate will offer wine tastings and will be showcasing some very exciting new initiatives including ‘The Wine Experience’ - you need to be at BLiP EXPO for more details.
The Algarve International Autodrome will have details of their 2019 programme and there are prizes to be won of a VIP day at the Lamera Cup 24-hour race in November and 2 lucky visitors to BLiP EXPO will win the opportunity to take a tour of the track with British Gold Medal winning cyclist Sir Chris Hoy at a date to be set.
Natura Garden Centre from Almancil is celebrating 25 years in the Algarve and will be providing the centrepiece mature olive tree at BLiP EXPO, where visitors can have their photo taken under this magnificent 500-year-old specimen.
BLiP is organised by foreign resident association afpop, sponsored by Medal Insurance and supported by the Algarve Tourism Board and the Câmara Municipal de Portimão.
