The European Commission (EC) said on Monday that the final impact of Novo Banco (formerly the bankrupt BES) and the recapitalisation of state-owned bank Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD) on the public accounts is not yet known, but warned that they could compromise this year’s budget.
