Luís Filipe Silva, a board member of Portugal National Tourism Board, described the spending as “an impressive amount” and said it “contributed towards the balance of payments”. The number of Chinese tourists who visited Portugal last year rose 40.7 percent, to 256,735, Portuguese authorities said, attributing the increase to direct flights that started between the two countries. China is now the world’s largest source of tourists.

I am a university professor doing research on Chinese tourists, the destinations they choose, and what activities/sights they choose to do while visiting a country. Is there a way I can get information on what attracts Chinese tourists to Portugal? Where do they go? What do they do? Food? Festivals? Outdoor experiences? Museums? Beaches? etc.
