Castelo Branco court has postponed sentencing the couple of market traders until 10 October.
They are accused of having sold fake branded clothes and shoes between 2007 and 2012, as well as having unduly received over 40,000 in RSI benefits.
In its accusation, the Public Prosecutor is seeking a reimbursement of almost €1.7 million, an amount it said was found in the couple’s bank account.
The couple, aged 43 and 36, sold goods at markets in Castelo Branco, Guarda, Coimbra, Fundão, Portalegre and in Spain, after buying them from suppliers in northern Portugal.
