Lisbon council has been instructed by a court to pay close to €100 million in a dispute over a plot of land.
The council was sentenced by Portugal’s supreme court of justice to pay €65 million plus costs and expenses to the Arez Romão family.
The case dates back to 1983 and a contract signed between the two parties for use of a plot of land in Lumiar conceded by the famously to the council.
