According to a report from the statutory authority for the sector, the National Entity for the Fuel Market (ENMC), fuel consumption in October overall was down 1.2% on the same month last year, with diesel consumption down 0.4% and petrol consumption down 4.3%.
In October, Portugal had the seventh dearest petrol in the EU after tax and the 10th dearest diesel.
