Organised by the Faro Living Science Centre and company, Magalodon, the life-size replicas of dinosaurs are to breathe new life into the previously abandoned building near the São Francisco Square.
Among the real size replicas is the feared Tyrannosaurus Rex, the Stegosaurus, Velociraptor and Triceratops, which move and roar in a leafy jungle setting, to entertain visitors of all ages.
The ‘Dinosaurs in the City’ exhibition aims to offer visitors a different type of experience when visiting Faro.
Interesting facts about Jurassic finds unearthed during research in the Algarve, such as the existence of dinosaur footprints near Salema beach, in Vila do Bispo, and the discovery of two new species of dinosaur in Rocha da Pena, Loulé, are also to be showcased at the exhibition.
‘Dinosaurs in the City’ is open Tuesday – Sunday, 10.30am – 10pm, prices vary between €4 and €25.
