The festival started on Wednesday this week and involves 22 restaurants and 11 taverns showcasing the region’s food and wine.
Main organiser António Garcia told Lusa News Agency that the aim of the event is to “contradict the seasonality, since this region is very popular at grape-picking time in September and October.”
The highlights of the event include regional dishes such as roast kid and cod. The festival takes place until 18 December in Lamego.
