Close to a dozen vehicles were left badly damaged after a lorry’s brakes fail on a downhill road parallel to a busy bus station in the Algarve city of Lagoa.
Some of the vehicles taken out by the lorry, belonging to a national goods transport company, had been parked near the terminal, others were circulating on the road as the truck hurtled towards a petrol station.
The incident happened at around 11am Tuesday morning.
A GNR source said around “ten or eleven vehicles” had been involved in the “traffic
accident.”
Luckily, despite the visibly extensive damage, none of the drivers or pedestrians in the area are understood to have required medical assistance.
