Drone halts flights at Porto Airport

Operations at Porto airport were put on hold for 40 minutes yesterday afternoon after an aircraft saw a drone flying 5,500 feet from the ground.

This was confirmed today by Portugal's Air Navigation (NAV). According to the entity responsible for national aviation management, the interruption of landings and take-offs in the airport happened between 2:52 p.m. and 3:32 p.m., which was “the necessary time to proceed with security inquiries”.
