According to reports the man had arrived at Lisbon on a flight from South America and was carrying a large quantity of drugs inside him.
The man had reportedly ingested enough capsules of cocaine for 25,000 individual doses.
He was taken to a Lisbon hospital to expel the drugs before being taken into custody.
