The huge fair dedicated to tourism, arts and crafts, agriculture and commerce, also boasts one of the biggest musical line-ups to be staged in the Algarve, with nightly shows throughout the 10-day event.
Covering a 50,000 square metre venue, packed with hundreds of regional products and crafts stalls from all over Portugal, staples such as the petting farm and live horse displays will also be returning.
Nightly performances this year include concerts by popular Portuguese pop band D.A.M.A. (closing the event on 27 August), rock band Xutos & Pontepés (25 August), national reggae star Richie Campbell (19 August), and much-loved, quirky folk star Quim Barreiros (23 August).
Fatacil this year takes place between 18 and 27 August. See: www.fatacil.pt, for more information.
