The issue has arisen during the so-called ‘great debate’, a forum launched by French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss issues affecting French following the recent Yellow Vest protests.
Among demands being expressed are that French living in Portugal who pay no tax here or in their home country should also lose their benefits.

J' ai obtenu le statut de RNH . J' ai acheté une maison . Je fais vivre les artisans et les commerçants de mon village.
Je ne vois pas très bien pourquoi le fait de supprimer cet avantage pourrait en quoi que ce soit bénéficier aux " gilets jaunes " sauf à satisfaire leur jalousie irréfléchie.
