Keeping spirits high, there will be live music all day both days, headlined by two of the Algarve’s best-known bands, The Protons and Daddy Jack Band, playing on Saturday and Sunday lunchtime respectively, starting at 12.30pm.
There will also be many new faces at the Fair, as a variety of brand new businesses will be showcasing their wares this year for the first time.
These range from traditional Portuguese handicraft artisans all the way through to luxury boats and high-end cars.
You’ll find everything you need for your home at the International Algarve Fair, from gardening and property management services, to home décor and painting.
And if you’re looking for a home, speak to one of the many real estate agencies taking a stand at the event, and see if they can find you your dream property.
Expert advisors on a range of matters, including financial, legal and health services will be occupying their usual spots at the Fair, along with representatives of the British Vice-Consulate, who will welcome visitors putting questions to them.
Not to be overlooked, the restaurant arena will be bursting with fresh new flavours from the four corners of the globe, spanning the spectrum from vegetarian and healthy eating all the way to luxuriantly calorific sweet treats.
Visitors of all ages have plenty to look forward to, but special emphasis has been put on keeping the younger ones entertained, with the likes of a pirate net and giant slide, pedal karts, an inflatable football pitch, inflatable trampoline, and a bouncy castle brought in specially for them, and all for free!
For the first time ever, the Fair will be hosting the MUSITRIX Show; an interactive, pedagogical concert for children, which will be held on both days.
The audience is invited to dance and sing along with the MUSITRIX show, which features musical themes accompanied by guitar, harmonic, Didgeridoo and percussion instruments.
The Lagoa firefighters will be back again this year, with their exciting activities for older kids, including the fantastic water hose and zip-line, while a range of other treats for children, such as candy floss and popcorn stalls, and face painting, will also be dotted around the FATACIL showground (extra fees apply).
All this, plus the customary, packed line-up of family entertainment for all ages throughout both days, which includes the likes of dance acts and yoga demonstrations.
The International Algarve Fair is now firmly established as one of the largest annual events in Portugal on the expat calendar, attended each year by thousands of people.
