Officers will be distributing leaflets to shoppers and shop owners in busy areas and large shopping centres, to prevent any illegal activity.
Patrolling in these areas will also be boosted to keep storeowners and cleints safe.
The GNR’s Safe Commerce operation ends on Christmas Eve.
