Environment Minister João Matos Fernandes said the campaign will target all users, including domestic users in cities who seldom experience the direct effects of droughts. The news comes as it was revealed that ten percent of the country is currently experiencing a state of extreme drought, including the eastern Algarve. The western Algarve has been placed in a state of severe drought.
