The Lisbon hospital said that baby boy, weighing 2.35 kilograms, was born after 32 weeks without complications and by caesarean section.
The decision to continue with the pregnancy was taken after tests revealed the foetus to be healthy, and after the father agreed it should be allowed to continue.
Doctors said the baby is in good health.
