The new store will boast the usual services found at other Intermarché stores, though this store boasts a new image and that has defined its expansion plan and which is most notable in the Beauty, Pet Food and Wine sections.

“In the year that Intermarché celebrates 25 years in Portugal, we are underlying and reinforcing our focus on the national markets through the opening of new stores”, Mathieu Descoubès, Marketing Administrator of Intermarché explained, adding: “The new São Bartolomeu de Messines store will afford customers a new shopping experience as they will have access to exlcusive Intermarché brands along with a wide variety of fresh produce” which customers have long been used to at the chain.

The new supermarket also has a low cost fuel station.

The opening of the store in São Bartolomeu de Messines forms part of the 2015-2020 expansion plan which foressees the opening of 63 stores at a cost of 200 million euros, which will see Intermarché boast 294 stores by 2020.
