International Women's Day marred by pay gap

Eurostat data shows that Portugal is the European country with where the wage gap between the genders grew most between 2011 and 2016 (4.6%).

The United Nations organised the International Year of the Woman in 1975, and in 1977 proclaimed 8 March as International Women’s Day.
