In mid-November, the chairman of the airport manager ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal, Jorge Ponce Leão, said he was concerned with the lack of a government decision about Lisbon airport, adding that there was going to be a lack of capacity for the expected growth until 2018.

“We are very concerned about how long it is taking to come to a decision about this question”, Ponce Leão said at the time, underscoring that the airport manager, owner by Vinci, “asked to start discussing a solution two years ago”.

Pedro Marques said today that the decision about a solution to expand the airport capacity in Lisbon “is critical” because it will allow the potential growth and avoid limiting the development of business and tourism in Lisbon due to “a lack of airport capacity”.
