A 39-year-old man has been arrested for drug trafficking in the Algarve region of Lagoa, following a four-month investigation carried out by Portimão police.

The arrest was made during a raid that took place on Thursday, 29 November, carried out by the Silves GNR criminal investigation branch.
Two house searches were conducted, which resulted in the seizure of 5,174 doses of hashish, 137 doses of cocaine, 41 doses of cannabis, 11 grams of MDMA, seven mobile phones, five knives, two bicycles and a TV, among other objects.

The arrested suspect was brought before a judge last Friday and remanded in custody pending trial.
