“During the night most regions of the northern and central interior saw some strong showers, along with thunderstorms and in other regions, hail. Today [Monday] we are starting the day in a completely different way from the last few days: a lot of cloudiness, mist and fog affecting the entire coastline, including the south coast of Algarve,” Frada said.

According to Frada, from Monday, maximum temperatures are significantly decreasing in the south-west coast below Cabo Mondego, by seven to ten degrees Celsius and in the rest of the mainland a four- to five-degree drop is expected.

The meteorologist also expects this situation to continue in the next few days.

“On Tuesday we will not have temperature changes, on Wednesday we will have a two- to five-degree decrease of the maximum temperature in most of the territory. In the middle of the week, maximum temperatures will not exceed 28 degrees throughout the territory,” she added.

The minimum temperatures will range from between 12 and 15 degrees, except for the Algarve, which will be between 18 and 20 degrees.
