According to calculations made by AHETA, these losses are based on existing and future bookings for package holidays and flights.
However, the association believes that some of these damages could be recovered as other airlines and travel companies look to cover the holiday plans of the affected holidaymakers.
Monarch was the third largest airline operating out of Faro Airport.
I would agree that the loss of Monarch to the algarve will be a big blow , they were a very popular airline that caterd for many middle aged holiday makers who visit the algarve 2 and 3 times a year like myself, my wish is that the replacement will be a airline that does not treat it's customers like sheep and shows respect for their customers;
A sad monarch customer..
