The get-together brought around 450 bikers and 240 rumbling motorbikes to the Algarve, from 14 different countries, who are staying in Monte Gordo for a long weekend of bike rides throughout the lower Guadiana, Algarve and Alentejo regions.
Harley Davidson aficionados from countries including Portugal, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Hungary and Poland, as well as as far away as Brazil, Canada, South Africa and Vietnam, made the trip to the Algarve for the event, which started last Tuesday and runs until next Monday, 21 May.
It is the 14th Free Chapter event in the Algarve, and the third time it is being based in Monte Gordo.
In a statement, the organisers explained: “The Free Chapters aim to bring together Harley Davidson owners, create friendship ties and organise events that will allow the discovery of the countries and people where they are held.”
