The temporary closures will affect traffic on both sides of the bridge simultaneously and are to allow work to be carried out on the infrastructure.
The exact times that the bridge will be closed to traffic are not known but authorities are urging people travelling in to or out of the city to take an alternative route.
More closures will take place again next Tuesday.
