Nobel Prize winner paints grim picture of future of climate change

A Nobel Prize winner has painted a grim picture of the future effects of climate change, particularly in southern Europe.

Nobel Peace prize winner Rajendra Pachauri, said Portugal might change dramatically in the next half century because of climate change and become more like North Africa, affecting beaches, farming, fishing and even wine. Pachauri, the 2007 Peace Prize winner, spoke yesterday at a conference on climate change held as part of the Estoril Conferences cycle.
