One of the rules “approves ways to protect citizens from being involuntarily exposed to tobacco smoke and measures to reduce demand for tobacco and its dependency”.
The law wants to prohibit smoking in play grounds and holiday camps as well as is schools and less than five metres from any doors and Windows in these establishments.
The same goes for all health care establishments, health centres, clinics hospitals, laboratories, chemists and para-pharmacies.
The law also expands the concept of smoking to new combustionless tobacco products “that produce aerosols, vapours, gases or inhalable particles”.
I do hope the govt. will take the next step in reducing tobacco use; Raise the prices on tobacco products so the young people find it too expensive to start. It has worked well here in Canada where the number of people addicted to tobacco is now down to approx. 20%
