Both fuels are set to rise by 1.5 cents a litre and standard petrol stations, though forecourts at supermarkets are expected to keep increases to around 1 cent a litre.

The increase is explained as being due to rising oil prices, with the Brent index climbing this past week.

Reference prices for a litre of unleaded fuel in Portugal currently sits at €1.453, while diesel is priced at €1.191 a litre, though the cheapest petrol stations have prices which range from €1.05 a litre for diesel and €1.31 for unleaded.
