Portugal currently trail the Swiss by three points with one match remaining in their qualifying group.
A win for Portugal in Lisbon will see the European champions qualify for their fifth consecutive World Cup finals.
A draw or a defeat will put the home team in the play-offs against one of the European group runners-up.
The match kicks off at 7.45pm and will be televised by RTP1.
