With over 16,000 likes, 23,000 shares and 800 comments, a PSP Facebook post has gone viral.
In the post, the PSP explains that “at the height of the Pokémon hunting season, we take this opportunity to reinforce some safety precautions. In between challenging battles, very tough battles, don’t forget we are still in the real world!”
Police used the post to highlight that some injuries have been reported along with some crimes, where suspects have simulated fake pokéstops to break and enter into homes.
In addition, advice offered by the PSP includes: “Don’t hunt alone”, “don’t use the app while driving. It is hard to remain focused on two things at the same time”, “don’t enter private property or restricted areas – these are crimes”, “warn children not to interact with strangers” and “be wary of malware related to the game which could compromise personal data.”
