“Following the recent news about the bankruptcy of British tour operator Low Cost Travel Group, Turismo de Portugal suggests that all the tourists who used the operator’s services, specifically regarding accommodation, to check its site lowcostholidays.com”, Turismo de Portugal said.
It also suggests that the tourists “contact the resorts in advance to check if their reservations and the conditions are unchanged”.
British newspaper The Independent, said the collapse of Low Cost Holidays has left about 140,000 customers in an uncertain situation regarding current or future holidays.
The online travel agent’s site said that the company stopped trading on 21 July “following exhaustive attempts by the group’s directors to rescue the group, which were hampered by the recent and ongoing turbulent financial environment.”
