"Following the recent news about the bankruptcy of British tour operator Low Cost Travel Group, Turismo de Portugal suggests that all the tourists who used the operator’s services, namely regarding accommodation, to check its site lowcostholidays.com", Turismo de Portugal said.
It also suggests that the tourists "contact the resorts in advance to check if their reservations and the conditions are unchanged".
British newspaper Independent, said the collapse of Low Cost Holidays has left about 140.000 customers in an uncertain situation regarding current or future holidays.
The online travel agent’s site said that the company stopped trading on 21 July after “following exhaustive attempts by the group's directors to rescue the group, which were hampered by the recent and ongoing turbulent financial environment."
Tragic situation for so many people. My heart goes out to them. Lots of useful information for people who have been caught up in this mess - http://www.lowcostholidayshelp.com/

What these people have done is a disgrace plus we tried to contact the hotel and they didn't care all they said was bring a C/C and that was it no C/C you don't come in. feel for my daughter and her two friends who has lost money for the hotel but have flights so unable to claim back. all the money. Hotels have doubled the price and they are stuck. Hope you get whats coming to you Low costs your nothing but low life's.
