The announcement was made during the World Golf Awards Gala Ceremony, which was held on Saturday evening at the Conrad Algarve for the third year running.
The results were announced after thousands of ballots were cast, with Portugal unsurprisingly also being elected Europe's Best Golf Destination. Quinta do Lago meanwhile took the title of Europe's Best Golf Venue.
