According to the latest figures from the National Road Safety Authority, more than 110,000 accidents were recorded during the first 11 months of the year, which is up almost 5,000 on 2014.
While the number of deaths in Lisbon and Oporto was down on last year, they rose by almost 40 percent in the Algarve, while they tripled in Aveiro.
those who cause such dangerous accidents (if not dead) should be considered as criminals and, as such, being judged. Cancelling their drivers' license for ever should be the minimum... condemning them to go take care of old and sick people, etc ... never again should we see them on the roads!
