According to website Aviation Herald the Boeing 737-800, performing flight FR-2932 from Lisbon (Portugal) to Brussels (Belgium), the second of a twice-daily flight, was descending towards Brussels around 7.30pm GMT when the aircraft received a lightning strike, but continued for a safe landing.

A post flight examination revealed damage to the radome which required repairs.

A replacement Boeing 737-800 was flown in to continue the schedule assigned to the affected aircraft, which was able to resume service the following morning.

Ryanair operates two daily flights from Lisbon to Brussels, the first departing at around 9.40am, and the second at 4.30pm.
