The decision to stage industrial action, including the possibility of a strike on an undisclosed date, was announced after the Portuguese cabin crew union SNPVAC held a meeting in Lisbon with representatives from various European counterpart organisations.
Speaking at a press conference, SNPVAC leader, Luciana Passo, said that among the crews’ demands was that Ryanair had to comply with domestic legislation and the same labour conditions for all workers including subcontractors.
The meeting was attended by representatives from unions in Italy, Spain, Holland, Belgium and Germany.
