The six, four men and two women aged 16 to 38, were caught red-handed stealing the fruit from a farm in Alvito, Beja following a tip off from a local. T
he olives had already been removed from the trees and bagged up.
Police immediately went to the farm, caught the thieves in the act, and returns the olives to their rightful owner.
