Studies to be carried out on rail link to Faro Airport

The vice-president of national infrastructures company Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) has said a rail link to airport will be looked into, but said its viability is an “environmental issue” rather than a financial one.

He said studies are in the pipeline for extending the national rail network the airport.

Should it go ahead, the project would cost between €20 million and €25 million.
