The ceremony was held last Friday, 13 May, in Sesimbra and was attended by representatives of the Algarve Tourism Board (RTA).
The Algarve’s promo productions were in the running among 232 films from 64 different countries.
The ‘Algarve – Share the Secret’ film created by Margem Productions took third place in the Beach & Sea Tourism category, while the ‘Legends of Santa Maria of Faro and Saint Tomás of Aquino’, a joint project by Faro Town Hall and the RTA took second place in the Religious Tourism Category, and ‘Columbus Cocktail & Wine Bar’, produced by the Columbus Bar, in Faro, took the prize for Wine Tourism.
The Finisterra Arrábida Film Art & Tourism Festival is organised by the Arrábida Film Commission with the objective of raising the profile of the Arrábida region within the world of cinema, and awards movies and audiovisual productions that promote good practices within the tourism industry.
