According to The Mirror, suspect James Watson is “living it up in the sunshine” after fleeing the UK in a mobile home.
Watson, 35, was arrested in April on suspicion of the unsolved murder of six-year-old Rikki Neave, who was found naked and strangled in a patch of woodland in Peterborough in 1994.
But after being released on police bail, he reportedly absconded from a hostel in Northamptonshire last month and smuggled himself out of the UK in a mobile home.
He is thought to be in Portugal after sending a series of snaps to friends, including naked selfies of himself, in which he appears to be in this country.
