Watchdog receives over a thousand complaints about MBWay commissions

Consumer rights watchdog Deco has received over one thousand complaints asking for the end of commissions on the MBWay bank payment service, which were brought in last week.

For example, BPI bank customers are now charged €1,20 for the payment service. Deco said it is preparing an official complaint in the name of consumers to submit to the Bank of Portugal, to “limit the costs associated to all forms of payments and transfers”.
