The best way to help is to come and enter classes – the more paws enter the more money is raised for this years charity – Coraçao100dono. There are lots of fun classes for all the family to have a go at. Including the popular best eyes, or waggiest tail or the Big Sit or Best Recall or even the Dog and Owner lookalike, this is a really funny class. You can have a go at tricks and training with your dogs. Our trainers have some real treats up their sleeves, showing what is possible when you have fun training your dogs. We have special classes for junior handlers, so the children can show their skills at training their dogs.

GIVE ME the PAW are running the GIVE ME the PAW Obedience Trophy – including 6 exercises which your dog and you will be marked on. Have a go, even if you and your dog are not 100% prepared, it is all fun and raises more money for the charity. GIVE ME the PAW are also available to answer all your training questions.

The Algarve Dog Show is not just for people showing their dogs but also for those of you who are considering getting a new addition to the family. The Algarve Dog Show offers the chance for you to visit lots of dog charities in one place. You will be able to see the dogs and talk with the various charities about their fantastic work in caring and rehoming numerous animals a week. Also if you do not want to take on the full time care of a pet but can offer some time with short term fostering or you can sponsor a pet or just offer to help walk the animals at the shelters. If you can’t have a dog but want to help out then the charities need volunteers to walk the dogs around the show and enter them into classes, so come along and be part of the fun. Each day there will be 3 Adopt-a-dog parades which will give you some chance to see the doggies up for adoption.

A big thank you to all of our sponsors who help us to put on the show and provide prizes.

You need to bring your dog’s vaccine document. The vet will have the right to exclude you if you do not have this with you. You have to have the microchip number and up to date rabies vaccination to enter.

Best Paws Forward!
