The severity of the injuries have not yet been reported by sources from the Bombeiros in Lisbon but the same source told Lusa news agency that a 28-year-old woman and a six-month-old baby were taken to the Hospital de Santa Maria and two men aged 32 and 54 were transported to the São Francisco Xavier Hospital.

The accident occurred at 15:40, at Arco do Carvalhão street, intersection with Campolide street, in Lisbon, and “it involved a Carris bus and three light vehicles”, the same source said, adding that work is still going on at the site, so there may be a need to transport more injured people to hospital units.

“Right now, traffic is effected in the area,” said a source from the Firefighters Regiment, without having information on the causes of the accident.
